News about the promotional navigation and launching of the historical regatta from Komiža to Palagruža ROTA PALAGRUZONA 2009 Although the sirocco did not allow the navigation of the falkuša and other traditional sailboats to the legendary Palagruža, the first regatta was of promotional nature but of inevitable competitive spirit. Already at the boats' departure 3rd September 2009 from Hvar at 9:30 it became clear that the struggle would take place between the two falkuša boats. True to that the "Comeza-Lisboa" with captain Tonko Božanić - Gruja was the first to arrive at the target – the islands Barjaci at 1:30 pm.
Rota Palagruzona on Friday 4th September 2009 at 10:02 started its journey through time by navigation to the volcanic island of Brusnik set 12 nautical miles off Komiža. The regatta developed in the camaraderie of Komiža's fishermen, yachtsmen, musicians and many other guests on the supporting boats. Those were Plovpout’s boats „Plovput 7“ and „Svilaja“, intended for press accommodation. The rest of the guests were accommodated on board „Palagruža“of the Split Hydrographic Institute. As in ancient time, when the regatta from Komiža to Palagruža was followed by a war galley as protection from pirates, this promotional regatta of Rota Palagruzona was followed by a Croatian Navy boat „Faust Vrančić“. The night before the regatta it went to the rescue of leut „Labud“ whose engine had failed on the way from Split to Komiža. The operation was prompt and successful and all turned out for the best. As expected the falkuša "Comeza-Lisboa" was the first to reach the target at Brusnik at 12:31 navigated by captain Tonko Božanić Grujeta and crew members: Joško Božanić - Pepe, Andrija Zorotović - Pojok, Miljenko Stuhne, Igor Pjacun and Miro Cvitković.
